Libertyville Support Group

Libertyville Support Group

Led by Kelli

This free ED support group focuses on healthy, positive communication and recovery skills, and strategies. We uplift and affirm members who are struggling and counter unhealthy self-talk/messages that tell the sufferer: “I’m not worthy of recovery. I will start tomorrow. I have to punish myself for my mistakes. I can’t be loved.” Support group members encourage one another to feel safe and understood as they open up more and communicate their feelings more. The meeting rooms at Cook Memorial Public Library in Libertyville are private and wonderful to use! Even members with children can bring them along to read or do homework in the upstairs Children’s section while in meetings.

If you are nervous or afraid to start a support groups, please don’t hesitate to contact the Support Group Leader ahead of time to tell them about your concerns.
