ANAD is thrilled to be partnering with Robert Crown Center for Health Education in Hinsdale, IL. According to the Robert Crown Center website: “We envision a world in which all children and youth are equipped with the knowledge, attitudes and skills to positively impact the health of their minds and bodies.” The center educates students from Pre K-12 in the following areas:
- Family Life (puberty, reproduction and teen sexual health)
- Substance Abuse Prevention (abuse of alcohol, tobacco, drugs)
- General Health (nutrition, body systems)
They have educated almost 100,000 Illinois youth in 600 schools, all free of charge. ANAD is partnering with Robert Crown to bring awareness of eating disorders to the youth of Illinois. We are participating in their 2016 Summer Camp Happy to be Me by speaking on Body Image and Eating Disorders. Both Robert Crown Center and ANAD believe that the education of our youth is the best way to prevent eating disorders from ever starting. We are pleased to be able to provide this service to Robert Crown Center free of charge, as are all ANAD’s programs. ANAD thanks Robert Crown Center for this amazing opportunity to bring awareness of the seriousness of eating disorders to Illinois youth and looks forward to a long lasting relationship.
