Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2012
EVENTS | VIDEOS | FAQs | CALENDAR | RESOURCES
Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2012 is February 26 through March 3, a week when eating disorder illnesses draw greater attention via the efforts of individuals like YOU! Through intentional activities, conversations and events we can all help create an environment that redefines outdated thinking, reduces the stigma associated with weight, body shape, or size, and inspires someone to reconsider an unhealthy attitude or behavior.
2012 Theme: “Count What Matters!”
This year, Eating Disorder Awareness Week is all about being more aware of what is truly important in your life, letting others know what is important, and challenging others to think this way too. ANAD is challenging everyone to change their thinking from the counting that limits or penalizes each of us, to counting what truly matters! Instead of measuring your life in pounds, calories, exercise or tangibles, choose to recognize improved behaviors, healthier attitudes and intentional gratitude for your strengths, your assets, your personal bests!
