FAQs
If I cannot make it to any of the events, what else can I do in my community?
There are so many things you can do! Organize a fashion show that celebrates all shapes and sizes… plan a walk-a-thon to encourage healthy attitudes… host a Candlelight Vigil so someone who is recovered can share their story… talk to your principal, guidance counselor, or dean about doing something at school… sell ANAD bracelets to spread a good message… purchase the new ANAD Mirror Cling-ons , use Purple Awareness ribbons: see all MERCHANDISE ... download flyers and post them anywhere and everywhere… and even participate in our daily EDAW Events! Daily EDAW events are fun activities you can do online and at home to help raise awareness and get involved. Be creative… you can spread eating disorders awareness with 1 person or 1 million.
How can I help raise money for eating disorders awareness?
ANAD is challenging everyone to “Make your Change Count” by collecting spare change… start now in your home or community! View our video and download the flyers and forms here. Even small handfuls of spare change can make a huge difference. Or click here for more fundraising ideas! Want to give more than your spare change? Make a donation through our donate page. Why support ANAD?
ANAD advocates for the development of healthy attitudes, bodies, and behaviors. ANAD, the original eating disorders non-profit, has been a leader in the eating disorders community since 1976 (that’s 35 years!) and is sustained by support from individuals and eating disorders professionals.
