What is an ANAD Resource Person?

An ANAD Resource Person is a representative for ANAD in a local community.  This person can take on one or more roles (see below).  Please read each role carefully. If you are interested in becoming an ANAD Resource Person, please fill out the 2012 Informational Survey our basic application. The application can now be completed on the computer. After completion, save it to your computer with your first and last name and attach it in an email to anadgroup@anad.org. You may also send it to ANAD by fax (630-577-1323), scan and email, or mail (800 E Diehl #160, Naperville, IL 60563).

What is My Role as a Resource Person?

Personal Assistance

You are familiar with eating disorders and are willing to share your feelings and experiences by talking with and being supportive of individuals and/or family members with anorexia nervosa, bulimia and all eating disorders.

Community Education

You enjoy speaking at libraries, schools, universities, civic groups and other institutions which serve the public. You will present information which will bring better understanding of eating disorders.

Fund Raising

You would like to use your passion and skill at fund raising to help ANAD solicit funds that will continue to support our free services.

Advocacy

You are interested in protecting the basic human and legal rights of those struggling with eating disorders. Your energies will be channeled to push for parity under the law and other issues.

All ANAD Resource People will receive ANAD’s quarterly newsletter, Working Together.  ANAD will also provide printed material on eating disorders to assist in the development of community programs, contact with those needing help, and notice of seminars, conferences and meetings sponsored by ANAD, as needed.

Please call (630) 577-1333 or email  anadgroup@anad.org if you have any Questions.
